Your past is not permanent, but it will revisit you...

One of the many things in this life we should really understand is this; what we do throughout our lives as adolescents, teens and adults can and will affect our future.
Both the negative and the positive.
Please believe...
...ladies and gentlemen...
* what we do TODAY affects our future
* what we say TODAY affects our future
* how we RESPOND TODAY affects our future
* how we LIVE TODAY affects our future
...with that being said, please DO NOT be surprised if some of the choices YOU'VE made follow you into your future!

Know that whatever you sowed yesterday will bear its own personal fruit tomorrow!
Fresh for you to chew, eat, digest and pass if you're smart!!

Here's the kicker though, when your past revisits you, it's OK to complain about, whine about it, you might even get depressed about it (I've done them all!) but the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to find a way to move past it!

You probably won't be able to change it, but you can make a conscious decision as to whether or not you will allow your past to DICTATE or control your future. Most of our mistakes cannot be undone; that's why you have to pay real close attention to life as it happens.

If you hurt someone, don't waste time by not apologizing. Own your part, apologize!  Prepare yourself for the possibility that your apology may or may not be accepted and move on! Make this your peace.  Allow the fact that you stood up to your past to transform you into your peace; no matter what the situation. Live life past your past, its just better that way.
If you are truly repentant about your wrong, your blessings will follow.

If someone has wronged you in any way...
* spoke disrespectfully to you
* spewed hatred or negativity at you for no reason
* gave you undeserved anger
* mistreated you as a child or an adult
* committed any type of injustice against you

...no matter who it is, please make the choice to forgive and move forward. I cannot discount any of the life experiences that caused you hurt, no one can gauge your hurt or your true feelings except you, but I'm very sure that none of it happened to control your life or your future.

It's important that we find the lesson that LIFE wanted to teach us, in every positive and negative situation and that we CHOOSE to grow from it.

No matter when it happened, if you're still breathing, you can still learn the lesson that was intended for you when you went through that situation!!!!
Its just not worth giving anyone any amount of control over your life.  Release it, learn from it and grow!

In the meantime, while it's very important to live for today, its equally important to make good decisions. Whether you know it or not every decision we make, whether spare of the moment, fast, quick or slowly thought out; they are all still long term decisions.

They will return in some way, shape, form or fashion.  Stop and think before acting.  Be a leader rather than a follower. If you are an influencer, influence yourself as well as others in a positive way rather than a negative way.  Don't add fuel to flames, but work to create an atmosphere of peace wherever you go, these are all fruit of a managed future. We can't stop life from happening around us, but we can control what we do and how we respond.

One more thing though, be diligent, consistent, disciplined and hard-working. No one ever really got anything by doing nothing!  Not anything worth having/keeping anyway...

Remember, there are some things in our lives (especially as children) that we just couldn't control; but once we are at an accountable age where we're able to make good common sense decisions regardless of where we lived, how we were raised or how much we have, we're still accountable for what we say, what we do, and how we react.  Don't blame others...don't be a victim.

If God allows you to open your eyes to see another day, you have been given another chance to create hundreds of thousands of stepping stones that will lead you to your lovely, divinely inspired, bright future!!!!

Pave it wisely!!!!
Anna
